The Phambassadors are fans of Philadelphia looking for organized opportunities to promote their hometown to visitors and tourists coming to Philadelphia in 2026. This position will support the PVC team in organizing and delivering volunteer opportunities for the Phambassadors in Spring and Summer 2026.

Position Responsibilities:
Volunteer Engagement & Training
- Recruit Phambassadors to participate in Visitor Center volunteer opportunities.
- Plan, coordinate and execute regular in person and virtual volunteer trainings with the Visitor Services team.
- Onboard Phambassadors into the Visitor Center volunteer program.
- Engage with prospective and current Phambassadors about available volunteer opportunities in 2026.
- Plan and coordinate Phambassador volunteer events.
- Maintain a Volunteer Handbook and digital resource library to ensure volunteers are prepared and updated on new initiatives and training resources.
Volunteer Management
- Coordinate and staff volunteer opportunities for Phambassadors with the visitor center.
- Support volunteer FAM visits and events to keep volunteers updated on new exhibits and city attractions.
- Support the implementation of a recognition program to celebrate volunteers.
- Publicize volunteer updates and opportunities to both Phambassadors and volunteer partner organizations.
- Maintain data records on Phambassador volunteer engagement in CRM platform.
- Maintain volunteer database using volunteer software, populating opportunities for volunteers.
- Order and maintain an inventory of Phambassador Volunteer supplies and materials for off-site volunteer opportunities.
- Support collaborations with local brands to source gifts, discounts, and specials to incentive and thank Visitor Center volunteers.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience interfacing and supporting people from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets
- Experience with CRM and/or volunteer management software preferred.
- A wide degree of creativity while still practicing professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal skills and follow-up skills
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, volunteer management, marketing, advertising, or public relations a plus
- Experience with volunteer management a plus.
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources efficiently to achieve goals, including prioritizing, planning, and maintaining organizational order
Other Requirements:
- Successful child abuse background check clearance.
- Weekend and evening hours required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
